Interventional Cardiologist MD/DO, Abbeville, AL

Highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join one of the strongest cardiovascular programs in the region. Our program is ranked in the top 10% in the nation for patient safety in heart attack care, interventional coronary procedures, and vascular care. This full-time, permanent position provides the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular center with a team of expert cardiologists and healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest level of care to patients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interventional cardiology procedures and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Schedule: TBD (Schedule to be determined)
  • Compensation: 350,000-400,000 Per Year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform interventional procedures, including coronary angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, and other advanced coronary interventions.
  • Provide care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, and vascular disease.
  • Participate in emergency care for heart attack patients, utilizing cutting-edge techniques to restore blood flow and minimize damage.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures such as angiograms and echocardiograms to assess and monitor heart conditions.
  • Educate patients on their diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to improve heart health and prevent future cardiovascular events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to hospital and healthcare regulations.
  • Contribute to the hospital's commitment to patient safety by following best practices and evidence-based protocols.
  • Stay current with advancements in interventional cardiology and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in cardiovascular disease and Interventional Cardiology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
  • Extensive experience in performing coronary interventional procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy.
  • Strong diagnostic, procedural, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical and procedural environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Proficiency in advanced coronary procedures and the latest interventional techniques.
  • Experience in managing complex cases of coronary artery disease, heart failure, and vascular conditions.
