What you will do:
This position is responsible for handling highly complex claims matters involving issues of concern related to indicators of potential fraud.
The primary functions include investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of complex claims.
The employee will be required to use discretion and independent judgment to ensure compliance with state and federal law, and with historical company, technical, and customer service Best Practices.
The position requires both technical and leadership skills and may involve mentoring and training other personnel.
Qualifications:
4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Evidence of continuing education (i.e. industry designations) desired.
Competitive candidates will have 3-5 years of experience handling complex Casualty, PIP/MPC and Property claims.
Qualified candidates must be able to identify industry recognized suspicious loss indicators, demonstrate a working knowledge of investigative resources, tools and techniques, and possess above average written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, customer focus, quality claim handling, resourcefulness, as well as technical/ functional expertise. Advanced Excel or Access skills desired. Special: Continued employment may be contingent upon meeting the requirements necessary to obtain appropriate state(s) mandated licenses. This includes successfully completing all applicable licensing exam(s).
Valid driver's license with level of financial responsibility required by the Club and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
